The Coach House (5* Gold), Cornwall – perfect for a romantic getaway
The old Coach House, the smallest of our cottages, is designed for two (plus cot, if required). Fully refurbished in 2019, It has a galleried bedroom with king-size bed overlooking a double height sitting room with dining area, and has a separate kitchen. The bathroom has an L-shaped bath with shower over. The roof beams and lintels are exposed, and the flooring is tiled downstairs, with underfloor heating in the living area, with hardwood on the stairs and in the bedroom area. Outside the Coach House (holiday cottage) has a private garden with Weber gas barbecue (May to September), private hot tub and gazebo and outside furniture. The Coach House has ample parking for 2 cars a short distance from the cottage.

Owl and Tree Barns (5* Gold)
Owl and Tree barns are both converted old barns originally dating from 1822, part rendered, and hung with slate, with walls 2ft thick. Both cottages have solid oak flooring in the living and kitchen areas, Porcelain or Rhodesian teak floors in the bathrooms and exposed beams and timber lintels in most rooms, with oak and slate ledges and white painted stone walls. They are centrally heated throughout, and are furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture, with original paintings and sculptures. Owl and Tree share a gravelled parking area with ample parking for 5 cars comfortably, from which a set of broad steps leads to a shared landscaped front garden. Both cottages each have their own private lawn, private hot tub and gazebo, Weber gas barbecue (May to September) and terrace areas.
Owl Barn (5* Gold), detached holiday cottage that sleeps up to 6 people plus a cot
Owl Barn is accessed at the front garden level and has three double bedrooms, all ensuite. The master bedroom on the entry level has a superking size bed and matching bedside tables and chest of drawers, and a built in wardrobe. There is plenty of room for a cot (full size wooden cots provided free of charge on request). It has French windows leading onto the deck area, and has an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom, which is downstairs, has a kingsize sleigh bed, with chest of drawers, bedside tables and a built-in wardrobe. It also has an ensuite shower room, with large shower area. There is plenty of space for a cot or zed bed. The third bedroom in the cottage (also downstairs) has zip & link 3-foot singles, which can be arranged as a superking double, and an ensuite bathroom with corner bath. Owl Barn has a large light kitchen and dining area, with a bright and airy galleried sitting room above with two 4-seater sofas, two armchairs, and a number of outsize beanbags. This is linked by an internal bridge to a smaller galleried study area. Outside the cottage, Owl has a south-facing deck area, a paved terrace with Weber gas barbecue (May to September) and table and chairs, and a private lawn area at the back, on which there is a decked area with private hot tub and gazebo as well as shared landscaped gardens at the front.

Tree Barn (5* Gold), a holiday cottage that sleeps up to 4 people plus a cot
Tree Barn is accessed down a further set of steps, with a front door facing into the valley. It sleeps 4 (plus cot if required) in two double bedrooms, both ensuite. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with matching bedside tables and chest of drawers, and a built in wardrobe. The upstairs bedrooms have bamboo flooring (no dust-trapping carpet, so good for allergy sufferers). The ensuite shower room has a new light bathroom with walk-in shower and porcelain flooring. The second bedroom has ziplock beds, which can be arranged either as a super-king sized double or as twin beds, with chest of drawers, bedside tables and a built-in wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with shower over, and sliding glass screen. Both bedrooms have space for a cot (full size wooden cots provided free of charge on request). The ground floor is open plan, with the kitchen and dining area on one side, and a comfortable sitting room on the other, with lots of windows, which make it bright and airy, and give impressive views of the surrounding countryside. Downstairs has wide board solid oak flooring. Outside, Tree Barn has a terrace area with a private hot tub and gazebo, Weber gas barbecue (May to September) and table and chairs, and a private fully enclosed lawn area, as well as shared landscaped gardens at the front. The hot tubs all have lockable covers, so can’t be accidentally accessed by children.

Owl Barn and Tree Barn are next door to each other, separated by a small knot garden, and are away from the other cottages. Book both cottages together to sleep 10 of you in 5 bedrooms (all ensuite) plus cots. The table in Owl Barn will seat 10, and the sitting room in Owl Barn has two 4-seater sofas, two armchairs, and several outsize beanbags, meaning there is room for all of you to eat and socialise together. Perfect if you want to be together, but still want your own space. It works superbly for multi-generational breaks with families or different generations split across the 2 cottages.
The Roost information
Heather Barn (5* Gold), an accessible holiday cottage that sleeps up to 4 people plus a cot
Heather Barn is a two-bedroomed cottage on one level. The cottage is wheelchair-friendly and is M3a rated by the National Accessible Scheme. It has a large bedroom at each end, each with it’s own bathroom (bedroom 1 has a large level entry shower; bedroom 2 has a bath with shower over). The bright and airy open plan living area has a full spec oak kitchen, comfortable leather sofas and a large dining table. An eco-friendly biomass boiler provides ample hot water and powers the underfloor heating. The cottage sits in a large orchard garden, and has a terrace, decked area with gazebo and private hot tub, hardwood furniture and Weber gas BBQ (May to September). A shower seat, shower wheelchair, elephant feet, foot stools, bed grab rail and oak chair with solid arms can all be provided on request.

Well behaved dogs (up to 4 per cottage) are very welcome and can enjoy our 6-acre secure dog park (Central Bark) – please see our Dog policy for details (please note there is a charge of £25 per dog per booking).
